A/R/TOGRÁFICA 2027: Free International Experimental Video and Audiovisual Research Call, November 30
The 13th A/R/TOGRÁFICA International Video-Narration Exhibition in Granada, Spain, is inviting artists, filmmakers, researchers and educators worldwide to submit experimental audiovisual projects by 30 November 2026. The event is linked to the University of Granada and is scheduled to present selected work from January to April 2027.
About the organiser
A/R/TOGRÁFICA explores moving-image storytelling as a methodology for artistic creation, education and research. Rather than judging only conventional narrative films, the programme encourages video essays, experimental documentation, artistic investigations, video-performance, short fiction and interdisciplinary video work whose form and theme invite reflection.
Eligible art and artistic approach
The official 13th-edition rules set a maximum of 15 minutes for an individual work. Independent curatorial proposals with multiple works can total up to 20 minutes. Some platform summary fields mention a 20-minute shorts category, so filmmakers should read the longer official rules and avoid assuming that a 19-minute single film is valid. Previously exhibited works are allowed, and submissions may be individual or collective.
Application and technical requirements
The application is free. Submit through the organiser's official online form or listed festival-platform channels, providing a working screener, creator details and the required synopsis or project background. Films may be in different languages, but non-Spanish speech that requires translation should have Spanish subtitles. All music, third-party video and performer/image rights must be cleared.
Fees and awards
Selected creators are notified in December 2026. The programme includes public screenings, artist exposure and possible catalogue or digital-archive presence; there is no confirmed cash award or automatic fee for screening. Selected projects must supply the requested screening master by 22 December 2026, using the approved Filemail or WeTransfer method.
Licensing and final checks
The organisers require permission for public exhibition and associated publicity. Before entering, confirm whether hosting the work online would affect later premiere eligibility elsewhere, and refer to the 13th edition rather than an archived 12th-edition call.
