Virtual exhibition for Asian artists

New York-based Asian Art Contemporary invites **Asian artists working anywhere in the world** to submit original artwork to its virtual juried exhibition What Remains?. The theme explores what survives changes in people, places, relationships and histories: memory, inherited materials, absence, gestures and cultural traces. Media can include digital painting, photography, moving image, sculpture documentation, mixed media and conventional visual arts. There is no career-stage requirement, but the eligibility text explicitly says Asian artists worldwide. This is not an unrestricted competition for every person of every artistic background.

Submission fee and schedule

Submissions close **20 November 2026 at 11:59 p.m. US Eastern Standard Time**, with selected artists notified by 1 December. The virtual exhibition runs from 21 December 2026 to 12 March 2027. An application costs **US$35, non-refundable**. One entry per artist is permitted, and where duplicate submissions arrive only the first is considered. Apply through the organiser's official form, not by emailing files. A complete application includes the payment, which is a condition for the entry to be assessed.

Photo and video delivery

Provide up to three JPEG images and/or one video link. Image files must each be no more than 1 MB, with filenames using Firstname_Lastname_Title_Year_Medium_Dimensions.jpeg. Video, kinetic and time-based submissions should be available via a direct viewable link for no longer than two minutes. Password-protected URLs, or files that judges must download from third-party services, are not accepted. Include a short artist biography; CV, portfolio website and social links are optional. The submitted works must be original and applicants are responsible for any third-party images, music, performers or copyrighted material incorporated.

Jury, exposure and commercial terms

The guest jury consists of Jennifer Ling Datchuk, Ben Hsiao, ceramic artist Kazuhito Kawai and artist Yeonsu Ju. Selected works will appear in the curated online exhibition, with possible complimentary interviews and promotion via Instagram. The organiser **does not sell artworks or act as an agent for sales inquiries**, and there is no advertised cash award. Because of volume, only selected artists will be contacted.
