Bangkok Art and Culture Centre PAP 2027: THB 70,000 for Interdisciplinary Performance Projects
The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) is inviting proposals for the sixteenth Performative Art Project (PAP) 2027. This production-support opportunity can suit multidisciplinary teams combining performance with visual art, cinema, sound or projection. The application period closes on 6 December 2026. The selected production will receive THB 70,000 in creative support and access to a BACC venue; however, applicants must have at least four years of professional performing-arts experience.
Who and what is eligible?
The call welcomes solo practitioners and collectives proposing an original, previously unstaged work under the broad curatorial theme “Spiritual.” The proposal must bring multiple art forms together, such as theatre, film, literature, music or visual arts, rather than being simply a general visual-art exhibition. Applicants need a minimum four-year professional record. A selected team must be able to stage at least four performances in October 2027 and offer associated public conversations or activities.
Money, venue and practical requirements
The published package includes THB 70,000 in production grant support, a four-week or twenty-five-day allocation of BACC's Studio on the fourth floor, partial technical support including projection, lighting and sound equipment, promotion and professional event photography. It is partial support, not a promise to reimburse every production expense. The official guidelines also require a tiered ticket-price structure and explain cancellation and grant-repayment liabilities if a selected team withdraws.
Documents and schedule
The deadline is 6 December 2026. Applicants submit a completed application and project proposal of no more than twenty A4 pages, consolidated with the required supporting papers as one PDF, along with a recommendation from an established arts professional or cultural organisation. Shortlisted applicants need to be available for online interviews on 19–20 December 2026. The current first-party page publishes the intended outcome-announcement period and exact submission-contact instructions.
