CICA Art in Action 2027: Video & Interactive Art Call, Deadline 23 October
CICA Museum in South Korea is inviting artists, performers, designers and other creative professionals to apply for Art in Action 2027. The project pairs a gallery exhibition with recorded online presentations and live Q&A. Proposals close on 23 October 2026.
Who and what can apply
Selected contributors will join Art in Action: Concurrent Show at CICA Museum from 23 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. The Art in Action: Live event is scheduled for 10 January 2027 on YouTube. Suitable formats include photographs, two-dimensional digital images, video and interactive art, as well as physical works and installations within the specified dimensions.
Submission process
Email a link to a three-minute proposal video and a brief biography to submission@cicamuseum.com. Use the subject line ‘Submission: Art in Action 2027 – Presenter’s Name’. Accepted presenters will prepare a ten-minute recorded presentation or project video by 23 December 2026; the event is scheduled to include live Q&A after groups of presentations.
Costs after selection
Acceptance comes with participation costs: US$30 for event registration plus US$78 (or KRW 110,000) per artwork for exhibition processing and maintenance. Up to two works may be exhibited per artist. Oversized printing or special display equipment may cost more; participants pay the two-way shipping of physical work.
Organizer and track record
CICA Museum, the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in Gimpo, South Korea, organizes contemporary-art exhibitions, new-media calls and educational programs. The organizer also plans to feature presenters in its full-colour volume New Media Art 2028, expected in December 2027; the book is a future publication, not an immediate award.
Before you apply
This is not a free online-only showcase. Review presentation commitments, dimensions, projector-sharing arrangements, artist fees and shipping costs in the museum's original announcement before sending a proposal.
