Crinan Residency 2026 - Mall Galleries and Crinan Hotel

A one-week residency in Crinan on the west coast of Scotland for artists who complete an eligible UK fine-art degree or alternative fine-art learning programme in 2026.

Deadline: 31 July 2026 at 12 noon. The online form opened on 1 July 2026 at 12 noon.

Application Fee / Participation Fee: Online submission is free of charge.

Eligibility

• Graduates completing an undergraduate or postgraduate fine-arts degree at a UK higher-education institution in 2026.

• Applicants completing a fine-arts course at a UK alternative learning programme in 2026.

• Foundation Diploma courses are not eligible.

• Any type of artwork is eligible.

Application / Project Requirements

• Applicant name, address, email, and telephone number.

• Institution, course of study, and 2026 graduation year.

• Statement of up to 500 words introducing the applicant, their background, and their interest in the residency.

• Three example images in JPEG or PNG format, each under 5 MB, with title, medium, and dimensions.

Funding / Support / Benefits

• One-week residency between 1 September and 31 October 2026, with the exact week agreed between the winner and Crinan Hotel.

• Single hotel accommodation for one week with breakfast included and access to a studio.

• Michael Harding art materials valued at GBP 500.

• GBP 500 stipend toward travel and other expenses.

• Feature on the Mall Galleries website and Instagram.

• Ten shortlisted artists receive a one-year ArtRabbit Artist Plan valued at GBP 99.

• Apply online through the Jotform linked on the official Mall Galleries page.

• The winner is scheduled to be announced on 14 August 2026 at 12 noon by email and on the Mall Galleries website.
