EMAP 2027 opens two-month media-art residencies across Europe
The European Media Art Platform is accepting proposals for two-month production residencies during 2027 at one of 15 European hosts. The call covers digital, media, robotic and bio art, and accepts artists, duos and collectives.
Eligibility and collaboration
Applicants must reside or pay taxes in an EU member state or one of the non-EU countries listed in the official call. Nationality alone does not establish eligibility. Undergraduate and master’s students are excluded; PhD candidates and emerging artists of any age or academic background may apply. Projects must involve collaboration, although the partner need not be confirmed when applying.
Support and deadline
Support includes €4,000 for the applicant, including subsistence, and €2,000 for collaborating artists, or €6,000 altogether for a duo. A separate €4,000 project budget, accommodation, travel within EU ceilings and technical facilities are provided. Participants are invited to the kickoff conference in Gijón, Spain, on 11–12 March 2027.
Apply by 6 November 2026 at 14:00 CET after registering on the official website. Submit to the consortium as a whole and rank preferred hosts. The official page gives the eligible-country list and application guidance.
