Eligibility

Adult artists or artist collectives of all nationalities may apply if their practice falls within visual and plastic arts. For the 2026 edition, eligible fields are sculpture and installation only.

Application / Project Requirements

Only completed works may be submitted. The submitted work must focus on the theme of Earth, and each candidate may submit only one artwork or project per year. Application files must be written in French for French-speaking candidates and in English for all other candidates.

Prize / Benefits

The International Grand Jury selects a maximum of four to five winners. Each winner receives a grant of 15,000 EUR, including the merit prize and official acquisition of the artwork for the Fondation François Schneider collection. For a sculpture produced in multiple numbered editions, the grant is 8,000 EUR.

Applications can be submitted only electronically after registering on the François Schneider Foundation website through the individual or collective registration links.

Applications in other artistic media will not be considered. No additional production budget is allocated.
