A three-, six-, or nine-month Paris residency programme for artists and cultural professionals living outside France, with applications submitted and supported by an eligible partner organization.

Eligibility
• Open to artists and cultural professionals of all ages and nationalities across architecture, visual arts, film, digital creation, curating, dance, design, literature, crafts, fashion, music, photography, theatre, and other listed disciplines.
• Applicants must have lived permanently outside France for at least five years, have a recognized professional practice, be fully available for the entire residency, and have professional proficiency in French and/or English.
• Direct applications from artists are not eligible. An eligible partner organization must submit the application and guarantee financial and professional support.
Application / Project Requirements
• Application submitted by a partner organization through the Institut français application system.
• Eligible partners include the French cultural network abroad and cultural or artistic organizations in France or other countries.
• Residency duration may be three, six, or nine months between April 2027 and April 2028.
Funding / Support / Benefits
• The Institut français covers the monthly cost of the live-in studio at the Cité internationale des arts.
• The partner organization must provide a grant of at least EUR 1,100 per month, international travel, health/repatriation/civil-liability insurance, and visa fees when applicable.
• The programme states that nearly 70 successful applicants from around the world are supported each year.

Additional Conditions Stated by the Organizer
• Live-in studios are approximately 25 to 40 square metres and can accommodate up to two adults and one child up to age ten. Additional fees apply to accompanying persons.
• Additional services are payable directly by artists to the Cité internationale des arts.
