The Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, announces an open call for an exhibition of digital artworks.

Official Call / Opportunity Page URL: https://alu.sum.ba/international-digital-art-contest-2026/

Deadline: 1 August 2026. The official page lists the contest duration as 1 April to 1 August 2026.

Application Fee / Participation Fee: No application fee is stated on the official page.

Eligibility: Artists from around the world who are at least 18 years old at the time of submission may apply.

Project / Submission Requirements: Only digital artworks without a physical equivalent may be submitted. Works must exist exclusively in a digital environment and be originally conceived and created for the digital medium. Works created with artificial intelligence tools may not be submitted. Each applicant may submit one artwork only, and collaborative works are not considered. Categories are Digital Still Image Artworks and Digital Moving Image Artworks.

Support / Benefits: Selected works are presented both in the physical gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts Široki Brijeg and in the Academy’s virtual gallery in the metaverse on the Spatial platform. Results are announced on 15 September 2026. The exhibitions run from 14 October to 18 November 2026. Four awards are listed: Grand Prix, First Prize for Digital Still Image Artworks, First Prize for Digital Moving Image Artworks, and Special Jury Award. All participants receive a certificate of participation, and a digital catalog featuring selected works is produced.

Application Method: Submit exclusively through the Google Forms application linked on the official page. Email submissions are not considered. Applicants provide a link to the artwork through a cloud service and must make the link viewable without login and keep it active until the end of the selection process.

Additional Conditions Stated by Organizer: The organizer reserves the right to request documentation of the work process where there is reasonable suspicion that a work was partially or entirely generated using artificial intelligence. By applying, the author grants the organizer a non-exclusive right to reproduce, display, and distribute the submitted artwork for promotional purposes related to the contest and exhibitions, including websites, social media, catalogs, and printed materials, without time limitation.
