Eligibility

Applicants must be choreographers at the beginning of their career, with previous projects outside an educational context and experience in producing their own work. Only individual applications are accepted. Applications are accepted in all choreographic fields and from all countries.

Application / Project Requirements

The application is made in English through the online form. In the first round, a short project description, biographies, and videos of past works are considered. Applicants must be available to stay in Hamburg for the full residency from August 2027 until April 2028.

Prize / Benefits

The residency covers a monthly scholarship for living expenses and accommodation in Hamburg, one-time travel expenses, support for necessary papers or visas and related costs, a production budget, K3 studio use, and dramaturgical, organisational, technical, and public-relations support.
