LeleKai International Fest 2027: Global AI Art, Animation, Cinema and Games Call, Nov 15
Festival and who can enter
LeleKai International Fest invites creators worldwide to its May 2027 finale in Cannes, France, with entries open across eleven creative worlds. Relevant areas for artists include AI cinema, animation, generative and interactive art, video-game worlds, music and image, immersive technologies and digital design, alongside education, science, climate and socially impactful innovation. Students aged thirteen and up, professionals, researchers, independent artists and teams can apply. Minors must provide consent from a legal guardian.
Work requirements and application
The entry form accepts new projects, previously published work and third-party nominations. Applicants explain what they hope to change, who the work is for, the connection between human decisions and machine generation, and which models or AI tools contributed at the concept, production or post-production stage. A public viewing, portfolio or project URL is requested. Jury criteria focus on authorship, expressive originality, craftsmanship, emotion, responsible AI use and value to a broader community, rather than imposing a minimum AI-generated percentage.
Dates, fees, awards and rights
The application period is September 1 through November 15, 2026, with semi-final and finalist selection in December and a final programme in Cannes in May 2027. The public call does not clearly state a definitive entry fee or a guaranteed cash award; do not assume it is free or that prizes pay money. The organiser explicitly says LeleKai is independent and not affiliated with the official Festival de Cannes. Authors retain copyright but grant a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence for festival screenings and credited excerpts.
