This is an application call for the MFA in Creative Writing at The New School. The program offers 36 credits of graduate-level study in Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Arts Writing, or Writing for Children and Young Adults. Students can expand their practice through graduate minors such as Impact Entrepreneurship or Transmedia and Digital Storytelling, and customize their studies with campus-wide electives in teaching, languages, and media practice.
The program also offers teaching experience through WriteOn NYC!, a fellowship that places MFA students in local middle and high schools. The MFA emphasizes creative development within a diverse, interdisciplinary community of writers.
