MUSE Illustration Awards 2027 Opens Worldwide: Early Entry $25–$35 Until 19 November
The inaugural MUSE Illustration Awards opened for the 2027 competition year on 16 October 2026. This international program, presented within the MUSE Awards network associated with International Awards Associate, recognizes professional and emerging illustrators in commercial and independent creative work.
Categories include advertising, editorial, publishing, children's illustration, animation and motion, book covers, product packaging, scientific illustration, experimental work, poster design, portraits and character or IP creation. Artists, students, studios, agencies and creative teams may participate in the appropriate Professional or Emerging division.
The early-bird period runs 16 October–19 November 2026. Individual entry prices are $35 for the Professional division and $25 for Emerging. Fees increase for the regular period (20 November–17 December) to $45 and $30 respectively; later deadlines increase pricing further. The announced extended final submission period closes on 25 February 2027, and award results are scheduled for 16 April.
A single submission may be one standalone illustration or a cohesive series or project. The posted image allowance is one primary image plus up to seven supporting images. Entering the same work across multiple award categories incurs extra category charges, and competition fees are generally nonrefundable. Bundle packages are offered, but artists should check whether multiple paid entries suit their budget.
The organizer distinguishes professional and emerging illustrators; entrants should check the eligibility and creative-credit rules before selecting the less expensive division. Winning a recognition tier is not a promise of an unrestricted cash grant, and paid prize promotions or extra purchases should be assessed separately.
