1 Billion Followers Summit AI Film Award 2027: $1 Million Prize, Seedance Rule, November 20 Deadline

The 1 Billion Followers Summit is running its AI Film Award 2027, offering one grand-prize winner US$1,000,000. The international application deadline is 20 November 2026. Entries are free and are aimed at eligible adults aged 18 or older, with jurisdictional restrictions described in the formal terms.

Organiser and context: The Dubai-based 1 Billion Followers Summit, associated with the New Media Academy and digital content creation, is working with the Dreamina / Seedance creative platform. This is a competitive AI filmmaking challenge, not a commission or unrestricted grant to everyone who applies.

A qualifying film must be an original narrative lasting 5–7 minutes and be supplied in 16:9, at least 1080p, in the specified MP4 or MOV format. The rules require that at least 70% of its content be generated using Seedance; using any unrelated image-to-video model for most of the work does not meet this named-platform requirement.

International submissions may be in languages other than English, but English subtitles and the required film introduction must be provided. Themes cover social and humanitarian challenges, fact versus misinformation, the relationship between people and AI, climate and nature, and human relationships.

Applicants must disclose their AI creation process and provide relevant working records or assets if requested, while ensuring original rights and permission for any recognisable people, music and other material. Entrants should read the licence granting screening and promotional use, as well as tax, sanctions and prohibited-region clauses.

The overall award is a one-million-US-dollar cash prize for the successful single winner, subject to the official terms and verification; it is not a collective prize pool distributed to every shortlisted artist. The organiser announces successive shortlists and a final selection around its January 2027 summit programme.

Apply through the official AI Award 2027 portal after carefully reviewing the complete terms and the mandatory Seedance percentage. Check the current form for allowed numbers of films and format changes instead of relying on earlier-year contest summaries.
