Application Fee / Participation Fee: The Ucross Submittable page states a $40 application fee for all Ucross General Studio Residency submissions. It also states that there is no application fee for Ucross Fellowships for Native American Visual Artists and Writers. The Ucross program page states that there is no charge for a residency.
Eligibility: Visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, interdisciplinary artists, performance artists, and collaborative teams. Applicants must exhibit professional standing in their field. Students at any level are not accepted.
Application / Work Sample Requirements: Applications are submitted through the Ucross Submittable portal. Work samples should correspond to the project proposed for the residency. The Submittable page lists work-sample formats by discipline, including 10 images for visual art and video/audio samples for performance, film/video, music/sound, and other disciplines.
Prize / Benefits / Support: Residencies range from two to six weeks. Ucross provides living accommodations, meals, workspace, and uninterrupted time. The program page states that residents are responsible for working materials and travel to Sheridan, Wyoming.
