Competition and venue

AFTER THE PALACE: Resonance 2026 welcomes video-mapping artists, animators, motion designers, new-media creators and collectives from all countries. The competition invites original mapped projections for the courtyard facade of Building Z of the New Administrative Centre in Nowa Huta, Kraków, Poland. Selected projects are scheduled to be screened November 23, 2026 as part of the 34th Audio Art Festival's accompanying programme.

Eligibility, theme and prizes

The creative brief explores the architecture of the socialist period, contested heritage, the built expression of power and changing identity of public space. A work must respond to the historic site rather than merely reproduce an unrelated showreel. The call is international and free to enter. The published prizes are PLN 10,000 gross for first, PLN 6,000 for second and PLN 3,000 for third place.

Video and sound specifications

The application form specifies 2D or 3D video mapping with audio: H.264 MP4, square pixels, 25 frames per second, minimum 40 Mbps, preferably 3840 × 2160 resolution (1920 × 1080 is also accepted). Audio is 48 kHz/16-bit stereo AAC at least 320 kbps. The video must run between one and eight minutes, with two to four recommended. The title or artist's name must not appear anywhere inside the video.

Submission and deadline

Submit by October 30, 2026 at 23:59 CET (UTC+1). The form asks for a downloadable master MP4 file link, online preview for the jury and two or three high-resolution stills, with optional PDF portfolio. Applicants must read the official contest rules, participant declaration and licence, data-protection clause and site-specific architectural mapping/technical documents. Prizes are competitive; the call does not promise a stipend or travel costs to every entrant.
