Autograph Digital Rights 2026: £410 Paid Creative Event Call for London-Based Artists
Open call and intended participants
Autograph, an arts organisation based at Rivington Place in Hackney, London, is inviting proposals for a participatory public event under the theme Digital Rights and Liberatory Futures. The commission is intended for an emerging London-based creative with limited or no experience programming a practice-based cultural event. This is an invitation to devise and deliver an audience event, not a competition to submit completed digital artworks or a gallery exhibition proposal.
Creative and digital themes
Proposals may explore how emergent technologies connect with social justice, representation and identity. The official invitation suggests subjects such as algorithmic bias, digital inclusion and accessibility, creative uses of digital tools, online expression, migration and digital borders, and community-building through digital technologies. Other related topics can also be proposed. The event must be accessible to a general audience and designed for discussion, interaction or shared creative activity.
Fee, production budget and venue
The selected organiser receives a £410 programming fee. Autograph separately provides a budget of £620 for event costs; that amount is not an additional personal award. The event will take place in person at Autograph's London gallery in March 2027, run for no more than three hours and accommodate up to 20 participants. Applicants should be available for roughly 15 hours of work during January–March 2027, including development and delivery.
Deadline and application
Applications must be submitted through Autograph's online application form by 10:00 GMT on Monday 16 November 2026. The organiser specifically asks applicants to use the form instead of sending a CV in its place. Shortlisted applicants are expected to have an informal video conversation during the week beginning 30 November 2026. Full eligibility, accessible application options and any practical requirements are explained in the official open-call information.
