Communication Arts 2027 Interactive Competition|International Entries Close October 23
International interactive-design competition
Communication Arts is accepting entries for its 2027 Interactive Competition, covering digital experiences such as websites, web applications, desktop and mobile interfaces, games, interactive installations, kiosks and museum exhibits. The official terms explicitly explain how entrants outside the United States can submit and pay. No creation-date eligibility window applies to this rapidly changing field.
Categories and project formats
Categories include Websites/Microsites, Social, Desktop, Mobile, Tablets/Handheld Devices, Environmental interactive design, Other Interactive Media and Student Work. The Environmental category includes exhibitions, kiosks, installations and other physical digital experiences. Work must meaningfully involve interaction rather than simply displaying a static graphic.
October deadline and charges
The normal registration deadline passed October 9, 2026. Late entries are accepted through October 23, 2026, with a US$10 late fee **per entry**, in addition to the category-specific entry charge. The organizer publishes category fees in an accompanying PDF and its payment platform. Fees are non-refundable.
How to present work
Submit a working URL or a demonstration video; accepted video file types include MOV, MP4, MPG or MPEG up to 500 MB. Website entries must remain accessible through a browser for three months after the deadline, with credentials provided if login is required. Static printouts or single image files are not accepted as complete entries.
Judging, publication and rights
Winners receive a personalized aluminum Award of Excellence, certificates and inclusion in the printed and digital Interactive Annual and the organizer's website. No cash prize is offered. Only accepted entrants are notified, within roughly three months of the deadline. Submission grants Communication Arts reproduction rights for selected work in its publication and promotion.
