HERALBONY Art Prize 2027 Welcomes 2D Digital Art by Artists with Disabilities Worldwide
Competition and awards
HERALBONY Art Prize 2027, based in Japan, celebrates living artists with disabilities worldwide, of any nationality, age or professional experience. Wall-displayable two-dimensional digital art can qualify alongside painting and printmaking. The Grand Prize is ¥3 million; Jury Prizes award ¥300,000 each.
Eligibility and restrictions
Applicants must be artists with disabilities, though relatives, guardians and affiliated organizations can enter on their behalf. A person can enter up to three works for free. Supporting evidence such as disability documents, a certificate from an appropriate school or facility, or medical verification is requested after the first screening. Copyright must belong to the artist.
Submission materials
Eligible works are two-dimensional and mountable on a wall, with the longest side no greater than 200 cm and weight at most 15 kg including any frame. Flat digital art qualifies. Three-dimensional sculptures, video and audio works, or artworks created in whole or part with generative AI, do not. Already awarded or commercialized works and submissions simultaneously entered in another contest are also excluded by the stated conditions.
