Eligibility: Citizens of any country may apply, but fellows must reside in the United States for the fellowship year. SSRC does not sponsor visas and may not be listed as an immigration sponsor. Full-time students are not eligible.
Application / Project Requirements
Applicants should have a sustained record of research, creative practice, or public-facing work related to technology and society.
Required materials include a resume/CV of up to two pages, a personal statement of up to 1,000 words or a five-minute video statement, a work proposal of up to 3,000 words or a project deck of up to 10 slides, and two work samples.
The fellowship runs from January through December 2027 and includes monthly virtual gatherings, mentoring, one in-person workshop, and reporting/evaluation activities.
Prize / Benefits
One-year unrestricted award of up to 60,000 USD to support research, creative practice, or community-engaged work.
Monthly virtual gatherings, individualized mentoring, one in-person workshop, peer exchange, and continuing access to the Just Tech network.
Fellows may apply for seed funding for collaborative projects within or across Just Tech cohorts.
