LAB ART PRIZE Venice 2027: International Digital Art and Photography, €1,000 Cash Prize, 12 November Deadline
Malamegi Lab has opened LAB ART PRIZE – VENICE '27, inviting professional and amateur visual artists worldwide to apply by 12 November 2026. The call accepts photography, digital works, video art, net art, graphics, painting, sculpture and mixed media without an imposed theme.
About the organiser
The competition is managed by the Malamegi Lab creative workshop and Moho art services in connection with the Italian Malamegi organisation. Its goal is to help participating artists gain access to galleries, collectors and the broader art market. Twelve finalists are planned for an exhibition in Venice, Italy, with selected recognition and prize opportunities.
Eligible art and artistic approach
Each applicant can submit up to six works, with each entry shown through a representative image and description. The maximum physical dimensions of a work are 3 × 3 metres. Applicants should verify how larger installations, interactive pieces or moving-image works are translated into the required preview image and the final exhibition format.
Application and technical requirements
Participation is paid and the current fees are volume-based: €50 for one artwork, €75 for two, €105 for three, €125 for four, €135 for five or €150 for six. Credit/debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers are accepted. Fees are non-refundable whether or not the artist is selected, so all the prices are total amounts for each bundle rather than a per-image charge.
Fees and awards
The published opportunities include a €1,000 cash prize for one finalist, a distinct artwork-acquisition award with a purchase value up to €2,000, a monographic book opportunity, and possible development of a new art collection. These are separate awards; an entrant must not assume that one selected artist receives €3,000 in cash plus all other benefits.
Licensing and final checks
Finalists are due to be announced on 2 December 2026, with the exhibition and prize process taking place in 2027. Shipment, handling, travel and rights arrangements need review, especially for physical work sent to Italy. Confirm all rules and payments on the organiser's actual LAB ART PRIZE Venice '27 application page.
