Rotterdam Photo 2027 Single Image International: €19 Photo Entry, November 4 Deadline
Rotterdam Photo is welcoming international photographers to its 2027 'Single Image – International' open call. Photographers and image-makers worldwide may submit a single outstanding image for presentation at the Dutch festival. The fee is €19 per photograph and the deadline is November 4, 2026. This category is a separate program from the International Projects competition; participants may enter both, but the organizer reviews each submission independently.
Festival theme: VIBRANCE – The Pulse of a Living World
The theme calls for images about energy, connection, movement, social change and physical or digital intensity. A photograph can interpret VIBRANCE through community, visual rhythm, city life, emotional experience or conceptual experimentation. The festival seeks work with visual strength, conceptual clarity and the potential to engage a public audience at outdoor scale.
Eligibility and rights
The competition welcomes professionals and amateurs from all countries. Entrants must be aged 16 or older at submission. A submitted work must be the applicant's own creative image, with permissions for any identifiable people, copyrighted components or third-party materials used. Follow the official platform's current image resolution, author-credit and licensing requirements rather than submitting a low-resolution social-media file.
What selected artists receive
Photographs chosen by the selection committee will be produced as weather-resistant PVC prints measuring approximately 2.5 × 2.5 metres and displayed on exterior container structures at Rotterdam Photo. The festival says that all costs of producing those outdoor display prints are covered by the organizer. Artists also receive professional exposure, inclusion in the festival program, opportunities to join talks and networking events, and promotion through festival and partner channels.
Entry cost and limitations
The €19 charge applies per photograph entered into Single Image – International. There is no stated automatic cash prize or salaried contract for being selected: the principal benefit is the public exhibition and professionally produced print. The separate International Projects route is priced and assessed differently. Artists should also confirm whether travel, accommodation, and rights relating to subsequent reproductions are covered before making commitments.
