Trucks of Art invites artists to transform fully operational DSNY sanitation trucks into moving public artworks seen daily across all five boroughs of New York City. Selected artists will paint approximately 400 square feet per truck and receive a stipend of up to USD $1,500. The artworks will circulate through neighborhoods as part of the city’s essential services.

The program seeks designs that:

• Celebrate keeping New York City clean

• Highlight sustainability and waste reduction

• Honor the essential DSNY workforce

• Bring color, creativity, and civic pride to public space
